A Note From the Editor
This Quilter's World spring issue is bursting with inspiration and great projects to help you spring-clean your stash. There's no better time to put your stash and scrap baskets in order. Not only do we have great scrap projects, we also have trendsetting ideas and patterns to meet your quilting needs. As an added bonus you'll find more options for quilt sizes and color choices. If you're in need of a scrap-friendly project, Spot Me a Five (page 66) deserves a look. Or maybe you're in need of a great table set to brighten up your table; well, Let's Celebrate! (page 70) has lots of possibilities and can easily be adapted to any color family. Trellis (page 39) is a gorgeous quilt and easy to make. It can be pieced in a day.
All in all, I'm sure you'll find several great projects to start off the new year and carry you into spring. We've also included more size options and more color options for your quilting pleasure.
Take a trip into the past with how quilts were pieced 30 years ago. Starting in this issue, The Vintage Review & Renew will be a regular feature. I'll bring back a vintage pattern and show you how to update the construction. You'll be amazed at how easy it can be to apply today's shortcuts and rulers to a pattern, and how many of those same patterns are popular today. It's worth reading.
