A Note From the Editor

I've been quilting for a long time. And in the course of my quilting journey, I have learned a lot: how to use a rotary cutter (does that tell you how long I've been quilting?), efficient piecing techniques, different methods for making flying geese and half-square triangles, and the list goes on. One thing that I haven't mastered and is at the top of my list: how to bind a quilt totally by machine. I have always enjoyed hand stitching the binding after it's been machine stitched to the quilt, but I'm on a quest to learn something new.

Did you know that you can learn new techniques and even take classes on our website? Quilter's World is part of Annie's, and by going to AnniesCraftStore.com, lots of new doors will open for you. Click on the Creative Studio tab to see the classes and tutorials available to you. Click on the Stitch Guide tab to learn more about quilting and other crafts also. These are just two of the features -- check out all Annie's has to offer.

Speaking of learning new things, Sue Pfau has written a wonderful article on working with color and learning to use the Ultimate 3-in-1 Color Tool. This article will help you gain confidence when planning the colors for your next quilt, and she includes tips for organizing your stash.

I hope you learn something new. Feel free to share your new tip or technique with us.

Happy Quilting!
