Owls & Trees & Leaves -- Oh, My!
As I hinted at in my last newsletter, we have an AMAZING October issue of Quilter's World ready to hit the retail stands in just a few days.
The theme for the October issue is Woodland Wonders, and we have a variety of projects to represent that theme, and we also capture the feeling of change in autumn. Here's a small sample of what you can expect to see:
|Cabin in the Oaks is a scrap-friendly Log Cabin/applique bed quilt.||The 8 Nights, 8 Lights wall hanging can be completed before Hanukkah.||The Circle Purse in Record Time is our first project for the "In the Bag" feature.|
Also debuting in this issue, we have the new feature column, Quilter's World University, or QWU, for short. The focus of QWU is continuing education in quilting. In it, we'll teach you something new, such as a technique or quilt-block history, for example. In Sashiko 101, we introduce you to the history, technique and materials for sashiko stitching. Then, we have a beautiful sashiko pillow project to apply your newfound skills.
There's plenty more to be found in the pages of the October issue. Be sure to look for it on newsstands Aug. 31, or order a subscription directly from our website and get a free-trial issue just for trying Quilter's World magazine.
