Let's Bind It!

Like most quilters I love to make and gift quilts when possible. I also know that some people really don't understand the time and money it takes to make a quality quilt. I now am more aware of whom I make and give them to and how much time I'm willing to spend on the construction. I've found through my many years of quilting and gifting them that young adults for the most part don't appreciate or understand the time it takes or the money involved in some quilts. I seem to receive more compliments and thanks for the flannel rag quilts I make for those going off to college, and that's fine. I now make lots of rag quilts instead of the kind I could spend so much time on. And the best part is that I get to spend my extra time making the quilts on my bucket list. I'm working on a quilt now that will probably take me two years to complete the top, not to mention the other dozen or so I have waiting for me to have the time to work on. So, for graduation gifts, it's rag quilts this year!

All best,

Carolyn
